The Palmetto Lodge is a two story brick structure with only a sqaure and compass on the front of the building to indicate it is a masonic temple. There is a stone marker indicating that Palmetto was the home lodge of John Irving Smith, who served as Grandmaster of Masons in SC, 1954.
