This mural wraps around parts of three sides of the old Doud's Craft Studio building in the village of Carmel-by-the-Sea. The theme of the mural is the change of peoples from the native Americans through the arrival of the Spanish Padres and Mexican rancheros, to the post-colonial settlers (but not representing modern times).
Due to its exposed location, the mural weathered badly, and was extensively restored in 2002.
