The Red Creek Presbyterian Church began with a handful of local residents meeting at the George Brinkerhoff residence on September 12, 1818. The original congregation consisted of 13 members. By 1838, the congregation decided an official edifice was needed, and the decision was made to build at this location. The first official service was held in this church on February 2nd, 1839.
