These pieces are cheerfully colored and finely detailed. They were individually designed, not just something you can buy at the playgrounds-R-us store. There were design constraints of having no sharp edges or excessive protrusions. According to the plaque, the crabs were a collaboration between Vicki Saulls and the sculptor Tami Stewart. The casting was done at Concreteworks Studio.
