Sheffield Pike soars between the valleys of Glenridding and Glencoyne.
The climb to the summit is mostly started from the village of Glenridding on the shore of Lake Ullswater,or from Stybarrow crag layby which is preferable to most as the parking though limited is free.
The most popular ascent is taken from the South at Glennriding Beck, this is a steep route but with excellent views as height is gained.
The view from the summit is also excellent,to the NE most of Ullswater can be seen,W.are the Dodds range of mountains, and SW Helvellyn and Catstycam are on show.
Altitude in Feet: 2232
