Giant Sandfly - Bushmans Centre - Ginormous Everyday Objects on Waymarking.com

The Bushmans Centre sits on State Highway 6 about 20kms or so south of the Township of Ross on the West Coast amongst some of New Zealands wonderful Native Rainforest. The Bushmans Centre makes up part of the ginormous Town of Pukekura that boasts of a staggering population of 2 (TWO). The Giant Sandfly hangs on the side of the centre and it would be hard to guess it's dimensions but the photos attached will give you an idea. You won't be able to miss it should you drive past as long as you don't blink. The Bushmans Centre is a cool place to stop as it consists of a small shop/cafe as well as being a museum and craft/souviner shop with all sorts of stuff carved from wood or greenstone as well as possum furs as well as other typically New Zealand stuff. It has a website I found if you want to check that out but it is even better to go visit as the West Coast Drive is excellant anyway.
