This playground is located at the end of a ballfield and near the Stephen Palmer Senior Center and Housing complex, not far from downtown Needham.

This playground is located at the end of the baseball field (part of Greene's Field), and is near the Stephen Palmer Senior Center and senior housing. Park along Pickering Street, near the entrance to the Walgren's parking lot. The playground is made from wooden timbers and has a lot of things to play with, such as slides, tires, and various platforms. A plaque on one end of the playground shows the sponsoring organizations and that it was built September 13-17, 1989. I was there one of those days helping to put it together.
There was recent news that the town is looking to relocate the Stephen Palmer Senior Center. One of the options is to level this playground (building a more modern one elsewhere) and build a new building to house the senior center right there. The link to the article is here:
