After playing in other arenas (the Forum for the Lakers and Kings; the Sports Arena for the Clippers), Los Angeles welcomed the Staples Center (in 1999) with open arms.

A multi-purpose facility, the seating can arranged for basketball, hockey, arena football, and concerts. Switching from one sport to another takes only a few hours. As is typical with modern arenas, there are rows of suites, one level up from "floor" seating.
