The Meeting House was built in 1759. Meetings where discontinued in 1899, but reopened in 1949. They are still meeting today!
The Quaker meeting house has three rows of facing benches. There is no chancel, choir, organ, altar and no minister. There is only a leader for the day. The Quakers enter the meeting house and sit in silent prayer. If someone has something to share they will stand and say it, as simply as possible and sit down and continue to pray.
Buried in the cemetary are descendents of Abraham Lincoln, Daniel Boone, ellis, Hugehes and Lee's.
To log your find, take a picture of yourself and the sign! Hope to see you soon!
