This American Elm is the fifth largest elm in Pennsylvania and it is located at 114 Main Street in Downtown Wellsboro, PA. You can park along the street anywhere nearby, and you are free to walk up to it. There was a time when there was a plan to cut it down, but the uproar from folks in town saved this massive tree. The measurements for this tree were obtained from a website where it was listed in 2005, so this tree is just a little bigger now.
