This part of Warriors Path State Park was the Coffman family farm. As I walked to the actual wetlands area, I noticed this covered spring, thus decided to photograph. The wood shingled covering was likely built by the park a couple of decades ago. The spring bubbles out of the ground, then there is a block dam to channel some of the water through a PVC pipe. Looks like the intention was to provide drinking water, but the facility has not been maintained and would not recommend drinking untreated water.
<p)Water from this spring flows into the Cedar Branch creek which flows into a sinkhole, thus giving the area its "Sinking Waters" name. (See also Waymark WM5YV5)
