This sign is painted on a cliff in a solf volcanic tuff. The sign is listed on Deschutes County’s list of Historic Resources (http://www.co.deschutes.or.us/dccode/title23/docs/chapter%2003.108.doc) as the only area example of early advertizing on natural material. The sign reads:
