The courthouse is a Greek Revival design located in downtown Winchester, Kentucky. Nearby parking can be a challenge on very busy days.
From the tourism website (secondary link below), we learn that Winchester was created in 1793 from 66 acres of land donated by frontiersman, John Baker. The town was named in honor of Winchester, Virginia where Baker was from. By 1812, it was the 7th largest town in Kentucky. Winchester is nestled in the well known Bluegrass Region of Kentucky, offering spectacular scenery in an area steeped in rich traditions and a great history.
