Paradise Evangelical Lutheran Church for many years was a part of the historic "Paradise Union Church", located near-by. Another member belonging to the "Paradise Union Church" was Paradise United Church of Christ located about two miles to the south. Both of these congregations separated and built their own churches.
This church is also known as "Holtzschwamm Lutheran Church" by the local residents.
Today the two congregations both use the existing cemetery located at this Lutheran Church.
