Benjamin Franklin is sprawled in a comfortable posture on this bench, holding a large (and fairly legible) copy of the Declaration of Independence. He looks very satisfied with his work. The top of his head and the front of his vest have been worn smooth by decades of people touching the statue.

Statue's Subject: Benjamin Franklin
