This Conference Center is owned and operated by Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, Inc. It is 1 of 2 facilities located on the Searcy S. Koen Regional Girl Scout Campus. The GECC is situated on a 12-acre wooded parcel with a boardwalk that winds through 6.5 acres of natural wetlands.
The Gulfcoast Event and Conference Center was awarded a Bronze Award by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
There is no sign on the building itself. The sign at the entryway is for The Searcy S. Kohen Regional Girl Scout Campus which encompasses all 12 acres including the wetlands and both the Conference Center and Council Headquarters.
