Boone Dam is a primary hydroelectric generation plan, thus the lake level rises and falls by 20-25 feet over the course of a year. (TVA Operating Guide) The control room here runs this facility and the hydroelectric production at TVA Fort Patrick Henry Dam in Kingsport. The large Boone Lake affords many recreational activities and can be VERY busy during summer weekend. The coordinates are for the TVA information sign which is at the road going onto the top of the dam.
