Dedicated to the memory of our comrades who enter the service of their country from Washington County and who gave their lives in World War II, Korean, and Vietnam wars. Presented by King's Mountain Post No. 24 American Legion Novemeber 11, 1974. A geocache nearby first brought me here several years ago.

Description of Memorial:
The figure is a Viquesney's "Spirit of the Doughboy" statue in excellent condition. It is located in front of Steve Spurrier stadium just off downtown Johnson City.
