One of the main plots of Goldfinger involved Goldfinger's plan to irradiate the Fort Knox gold with an atomic device thus rendering the gold valueless. With the U.S. gold supply valueless Goldfinger's gold would be increased in value. The exterior of the depository was shown in the movie, the interior scenes were in a studio.
When visiting the depository do not take photos from the main entry to the depository as they are not allowed in that location. Do not approach the fence stay on the U.S. highway to the west. The coordinates are on the highway to the west of the depository where the depository is very visible.
