On March 12, 2006 this muffler man lost his head in a tornado. It was found by the City Power crew about a block away behind what was left of the Barrelhead Restaurant and Bar and replaced by the guys at a local auto repair shop who specialize in fiberglass.
Thankfully the Lauterbach Tire's Muffler Man "lives" in a community that cared enough about this gentle giant to restore him rather than scrap him.
