The tunnel can be found halfway between the towns of Atherton and Herberton on the Atherton Tablelands, Queensland.
It is in good condition and you can walk the entire length with no problems.
Access to the tunnel is via a short walk through the rail cutting from the highhway. Parking is available off the highway.
The railway sleepers and track are still in place but some sections have been removed.
