Ocean County Park is great deistination for family fun, and our pets are no exception. The off-leash dog area has two fenched off pens that run long the forest edge along New Hampshire Avenue in Lakewood.
There is one pen for large dogs and a seperate one for the little ones (gotta protect those big dogs from the little ones, you know). To get to the "barking lot" you must eter the park at the main entrance on Route 88, and follow the signs back to this corner of the park. Traffic is one way through the park.
Dogs are not allowed to smoke in this area, so there's a bucket outside the fence for butts. There are picnic tables in the dog area, so owners can picnic with their pups.
