The Marengo City hall shares a building with the Marengo Fire Department.
Brent Nelson is the current city administrator.
Marengo is the county seat of Iowa County, and is the home of approx. 2500 citizens.
Some big events in town are the annual July 3rd celebration, and the Iowa County Fair which occurs in mid July.
Marengo will celebrate it's Sesquicentennial in 2009 on July 2 - 5.
