This charming winery is housed in a restored textile mill. The historic structure is a unique place to house a winery. The walls of the tasting room contain photos of the old mill. Certainly the winery and the owners are connected to the local history.

The winery is a family run business. The tasting staff are related to the owner and are friendly, helpful folks. They can give you the inside scoop about the wines. The winery has only been open for four years and has a promising early showing.

The tour is self guided, in that the processing is done in one room off the tasting area. There are steel aged and oak aged wines. The grapes are mostly locally grown with a few from other areas of the state and country. Certainly, the wines have a characteristic delicate bouquet and a light taste that I've come to associate with the wines of the western region of the state. One interesting wine is the Linville Mist, a Green Apple Riesling...yum! The wine makers are coming up with some interesting blends to get a bolder taste, such as the Table Rock Red, a Black Cherry Pinot Noir.

The tasting room also features a small store (of note, the store has books and supplies for small home wine making).

The space is shared with a quaint antique store. After the wine tasting, we browsed the antiques. In fact the antique dealer loves for you to taste then browse....its good for antique sales.
