Every working day the bridge is crossed by hundreds of bicycals on the way to the Technical University Delft and back. Note that the ramps are very low so the bikers don't have to climb to cross this bridge.
It's special swing bridge because the it could be passed by ships on both sides. Just recently I noticed (while waiting for a ship to pass) that the shape of the bridge when it's open resembles the shape of a standard canal ship that's used here in the Netherlands.
