It was on a Sunday evening when I photographed this church. The pastor came out and insisted that I go to the inside of the church. He pointed out how that the church had been built in the 1950s and that they run out of money to finish the inside like they really wanted to. So, they finished it in real wood - pine lumber, ceilings, walls and all. And they have never changed it as it was unique enough as it was and is to this day.
Plain Dealing and area is located in the wooded rolling hills of northwest Louisiana. As of 2007, Plain Dealing's population is 1,048 people.
