Most people know Goodwill for their thrift stores and a place to drop off used clothing; but you may be surprised to learn Goodwill is also the number one recycler in America.
Goodwill recycles just about everything they get from stained t-shirts and used clothing to old shoes, even pots and pans.
An auction is held at the Goodwill warehouse twice a week. There are all sorts of things for sale from old electronics to children's toys to broken furniture. They're all placed in carts and people make their bid for around $15.
