The church dates back to the 12th or 13th century with the doorway in the south porch surviving today. In 1718 the church was found to be in disrepair and was slowly restored to a fine order. As the restoration took place mainly in the Victorian period there are many traces of this in the present architecture.
The door caught our eye as it is unique with its intricate metal designs on the old wooden structure.
