SpotsCO, MALLARD 2004, VA, is a Spotsylvania County Survey Monument (aluminum disk) monumented by GeometricsGPS, Inc. on 01/15/2004 and located on the overpass of State Route 606 (Mudd Tavern Road) over Interstate Highway 95 near Coleman’s Mill, VA. It is in the National Geodetic Survey database at PID = DG6619 (visit link) . The disk is 142.0 feet west of the centerline of the I-95 Exit 118 northbound off-ramp, 66.4 feet northwest from the east end of a guardrail, 18.0 feet south of the centerline of Mudd Tavern Road, 11.9 feet north from a Fredericksburg sign post, 2.8 feet south of a guardrail, and 2.6 feet south of an orange Carsonite witness post. The disk is mounted flush with the surface and is stamped MALLARD 2004. To reach from Interstate Highway 95 northbound, take Exit 118 to Mudd Tavern Road. At the top of the exit ramp, turn left and go west on Mudd Tavern Road for 142 feet to the station on the left. Recovery of this disk was first logged at the Geocaching datasheet for station Q 390, PID = HV3414.
