The current borough hall was designed in the 1970's, it was for about 20-25 people. The police department now exceeds 40 officers and space is being supplemented by an office trailer. Lindenwold is planning to rehabilitate the current borough hall by adding an extension. The original cost estimate would have been $2.5 million plus the cost of the new borough hall.
So, a new borough hall building will be located in the center of town in the near future. The new 9,000 square foot building is proposed to be built at the intersection of Linden Avenue and the White Horse Pike, and will house the administrative offices. The police department will take over the old borough hall, which will undergo renovations, on Egg Harbor Road.
