interestingly, this location is a Compounding pharmacy.
"Prescription Compounding ...
Compounding is the traditional method of preparing customized medication to help meet unique physician and patient needs. Compounding pharmacists have played a major role in the health care setting because of their ability to help solve the most challenging patient problems. Working with physicians, innovative compounding pharmacists are continually providing solutions to medication dosing problems, meeting patients' needs, and providing improved quality of life."

As for the Rx in a pharmacy sign, Rx may be intended as an abbreviation of the Latin "recipe". Literally, "Recipe" means simply "Take ..." and when a medical practitioner writes a prescription beginning with "Rx", he or she is starting a command. This command was probably directed at the pharmacist who needed to take a certain amount of each ingredient to compound the medicine.
