The KARC/BMRC repeater site is located on top of Bays Mountain in Kingsport, and operates on a frequency of 146.970 Mhz. Refer to the club website for further details. The actual repeater was confirmed by a Embarq (formerly Sprint) telephone employee who was also on the Boy Scout hike as there is no identification on the actual tower or supporting building.
