This memorial park is in front of the County Courthouse. Parking is easily accessable right in front of the memorial, and all around the square.
The courthouse was created because of conflict, and is only fitting to hold the memorials of fallen Americans. During the American Civil War, the County Seat was relocated from Bloomington to Macon because of trying to quelch the southern sympathies of the county. In the immediate area surrounding the World War II memorial, are many other memorials to the wars of the 20th century.
