Every holiday season the Girls Club of Allentown strings holiday lights and creates a holiday display on Sparkle Island. It is a natural island located in the middle of Lake Muhlenberg. You can park nearby on Parkway Boulevard and walk across to the island on a gravel peninsula.
Geese inhabit the lake, so watch one's step.
