The guidestone gives travellers directions towards St Germans to the south. To the north the traveller is directed on the left towards Redgate and on the right towards Launceston. St Germans is on the front of the stone. Redgate and Launceston are cut into the sides which are mostly hidden by the earth bank and undergrowth.
