This trailhead is adjacent to the Minister Creek Campground in the Allegheny National Forest. It is one of the most popular hiking trails in the ANF.

The posted coordinates are for the start of the trail. There is a large dirt parking area directly across the road. Do not park in the campground. The trail will take you on a 6.6 mile loop through an undeveloped area of the Allegheny National Forest. Leaving the trailhead at a road, you will follow a steep incline for about a 1/4 mile until the trail levels off. The trail remains above the Minister Creek Valley for a short bit until it drops down and follows the stream. There are stream crossings involved. Side trails are available and marked to take you to the North Country Trail and a summit that overlooks Minister Valley. The summit trail is quite strenuous.
