In “Amazing Race 13” multiple teams raced around the globe for $1,000,000 to 'amazing' locations. Three teams were left in the final leg of the race. They were Frat Boys Andrew and Dan, separated couple Ken and Tina as well as siblings Nick and Starr. From Moscow, Russia, they flew to Portland, Oregon.
The kitschy, post-modern city services Portland Building (1982) at 1120 SW 5th Avenue, between SW Madison and SW Main Streets was one of the stops on the final leg. The building, designed by Michael Graves, is Portland's most controversial building, loved and hated with great intensity. It has been called "an overdecorated birthday cake," "an enlarged jukebox," and "the oversized, beribboned Christmas package."
