The city of Sukhothai was founded in the mid 13th century. This ancient buddhist temple includes three Khmer style stupas, and a wihan in the front. Hindu artifacts have been found here that suggest this temple was originally a hindu sancturary. The addition of the wihan transformed it into a Buddhist Temple.
