Moses Robinson Jr, was the oldest son of Moses Robinson, US Senator and the 2nd Governor of Vermont. He was a prominent local politician in his own right, serving on the Bennington town council and in the Vermont General Assembly.

He died with calm but manly resolution on Jan. 29th, 1825 in the 63rd year of his age in the confident but submissive hope of future life & glory
