This fine Victorian house is now part of the Sue Ryder charity providing a hospice for those in need of care and recovery.

The building dates back to 1865 and was designed for a Governor of the Bank of England. It admitted the first patients on 12th May 1980.

The house is a typical Victorian design with small brickwork and a red tiled roof.
