The summit of Mt. Doug stands 213 meters above sea level. The mountain itself rises right from the shore on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. From the lookout at the summit you can have unobstructed 360 degree views of the city and straits.
The view is especially great after dark when the lights of the city are all around below and you can look out across the straits and see lights from the towns on the Olympic Peninsula.
There is an orientation table at the lookout that gives distances to various towns, cities and islands around the area that can be seen from the summit.
