Granite monument reminiscent of the Washington Monument. Memorial and flagpole are surrounded by a purple heart shaped walway. The memorial is located next to American Legion Post 10 on Lakeshore Boulevard facing Lake . Nearby is an unusual memorial dedicated to Kissimmee Retired City Employees and another war memorial dedicated to World War II Bataan POW survivors and the Philippino's who aided them.
