Claude François, surnommé Cloclo, (1939-1978) est un chanteur français des années 1960 et 1970.
Né le 1er février 1939 près du lac Timsah, à Ismaïlia en Égypte, il est mort accidentellement le 11 mars 1978 à l'âge de 39 ans à Paris.
Entre le début de sa carrière artistique entamée le 27 septembre 1962 et la fin de l'année 2005, Claude François a vendu 61 352 000 disques dont plus de 20 millions en France, enregistré 277 chansons et 119 en langues étrangères, s'est produit 1 188 fois sur scène (entre le 18 décembre 1962 et le 24 février 1978, date de son dernier concert au Palais des sports de Lyon), est apparu 313 fois à la télévision (France, Belgique, Canada, Italie, Espagne, Angleterre) du 21 janvier 1963 au 26 février 1978. Il a fait la couverture de 219 magazines de son vivant et de 186 autres entre mars 1978 à mars 2006 et a été l'objet de 73 livres et biographies depuis sa mort.
