This graveyard measures 100x100 and is on a plot overlooking the Metedeconk River and has graves dating from the late 1700s to 1901.
The site is fenced off with a white picket fence, and there is an orientation plate outlining the names and plots in the cemetery.
Upon looking at the old stones, I found that there are Johnsons buried here. Now, I have to see if this is an ancestor of my husband, whose family did live in this area.
I also found stones for soldiers that passed in the War of 1812. There are approximately 75 graves here.
The site is peaceful, on a dead end on Fairview Ave, off busy Princeton Avenue, and has a beautiful overlook of the shallows of the Metedeconk River.
