The Trinity Church stands alone on Boston's Copley Square in the Back Bay Section. According to the web site for Trinity Church, the congregation was formed in 1733, and presently has a membership of over 3,000 households.
Trinity Church is an active member of the community. In addition to having activities hosted as part of Boston's First Night celebrations, it has hosted cross-denominational services (I was at one for the one year anniversary of 9/11, involving Christian, Jewish, and Muslim faiths), and they have an Urban&Justice Ministry that further reaches out into the local and world communities.
Though there is no private school on the property, there are programs for children and adults alike.
Though the congregation has been around since 1733, the building they are currently in dates back to around 1877. It is a beautiful building designed by H. H. Richardson and is considered the first building of the architectural style, Richardsonian Romanesque, which is borrows from Italian and Spanish designs.
