It was very early in the morning when I came here. I had no intention of stopping in Texas county. I was traveling south to do the counties of Oregon & Shannon. But the sun was up, and I was getting hungry. I wondered if there might be a small cafe in this county seat. And I stumbled upon this and other gems. The cafe was there also, so I grabbed some breakfast, talked to the local newspaper people and then headed on south.
