| | | | | | [I would like you to take a minute or two and read some of the names. Notice how many are females. In WW II we tend to believe the news media, who presses no females in combat. That is a load of horse fodder. In WW II every human was involved, and many were female. On this board alone there are a half dozen. Margaret Tyler, Nellie Alice Rogers, etc...take that minute and realize the true history of that war. This memorial is a small park. I was told two brick buildings that were fast decaying were raized and this park was put in their stead. A large bill-board style wall, protected with it's own roof, list the names of all who served from here. With special call out to those who suffered special sacrifice. A gazebo, small flower pot near the gazebo, and a flag pole located near the sidewalk. A few trees, and I would be willing to bet in the spring and summer a very lovely place indeed. As you can see it was heavy snow the day before I arrived here.] | | | | | |
