Money for building this court was raised by the community, including $25.000 from the chamber of commerce. Pacific Grove has plenty of parks with open space, but this is the only park with a basketball court. (There are some other courts at Pacific Grove schools.) Surprisingly, it's not always busy - maybe everyone is down at the beach. It doesn't have painted lines but the key is shown by a change in the concrete color. The playing surface is in great shape and the nets are pretty good also.
