This might be the local's favorite spot in a mostly tourist-oriented town. When the original family eventually sold it, there was lots of concern in town that its character would change, but the new owners kept the same recipes and kept using the same historic sourdough starter. They have a half dozen kinds of sweet breads and cookies.
They make sandwiches at lunch time, cold drinks and coffee. Despite the old sign outside, they don't sell groceries.
