This impressive, stone building used to be the fire station in Mill Street.

The building now houses the Nokia phone shop. It has two large foundation stones with the date of the building from 1888. It was built by the architects Usher & Anthony. In 1947 this voluntary fire brigade was replaced by the public service and moved to new premises.
